Scotland’s back in the World Cup.
It’s been a while! Long enough that it almost felt like something you just didn’t expect any more. But here we are. I’ve been thinking about it in the background while working on Thistle Type – not in a big campaign way, just as a reminder of where a lot of my work comes from.
The foundry started from Scottish places and the feeling of them more than anything else. Names like Glen Etive aren’t there to be clever, they’re just places that stuck with me and ended up shaping the way I draw type. Football’s not really about design, but moments like this tend to spill into everything else. You notice it in conversations, in the way people talk about Scotland, even outside sport.
So I’ve tied a small offer to it: 26% off all fonts during the group stages of the tournament, using code SCOTLAND26. If Scotland goes further, I’ll extend it along with them.
If you need something for branding, editorial, packaging, or just want a display face with a bit more character, it’s there if you want it. That’s really all it is.
